Assignment:

Please submit a short, 250 to 300 word "Written Assignment" related to the question of what types of ethics can people always practice?

Use these questions as prompts and start with an introductory opinion or thesis that explain to your readers why people can or cannot always practice some certain type of ethics and why. Here are some questions you might use to write about this topic:

1. Who is your favorite bioethicist/ethical philosopher we have read so far and why?

Does this philosopher allow for us to say an ethical action is always, always right/wrong? You can go back to your first paper from Week 2 and think about what new ideas you have learned since then. If so why or why not?

2. What does virtue mean to you and how can you use virtue to make a decision about a specific moral issue? Identify a key moral bioethical issue, very briefly in one or two sentences stating why it is a dilemma then stating whether virtue ethics like that of Aristotle or Confucius can satisfactorily address this issue.

Refer to both of the readings we have for this week and some of the vocabulary you have learned about ethics so far.
