View the following clip from the hit TV show Mythbusters. In this series, the cast and crew investigated whether they could scientifically confirm the truth (or at least plausibility) of various myths, common sense sayings, rumours, viral videos, or controversial physics problems. Will they be confirmed or busted when put to the test?

Part A: After viewing the clip in the context of the scientific method:

(i) Identify the issue that they were interested in investigating

(ii) Identify a hypothesis they were testing

(iii) Identify what one would predict they would see if that hypothesis were true

(iv) Outline the test procedure and methodology they designed to test the hypothesis

(v) Re-evaluate whether the hypothesis should be accepted, rejected, or amended.

Part B: Reflect on the results of this experiment and provide a short response to the following question. Supposing that this experiment gathered good data and drew good conclusions, what - if any - practical applications might the results of this controlled, scientific experiment have for your everyday life in the real world?
