Assessment Task
Identify a firm in the service sector of your choice. If the firm is a large concern then students can investigate a particular SBU in that finn. Student should investigate the finn's current marketing performance and prepare a comprehensive strategic marketing plan. The proposed plan should be based on original thoughts of the students.
Emphasis should be given to creative solutions. The marketing plan should include:
• Defining the organization's business, mission and goals.
• Identifying and framing organizational goals.
• Formulating product market strategies.
• Budgeting marketing, financial and production resources.
• Marketing ethics and social responsibility.
The marketing plan should not be a mere description of what the firm is already doing, but how it should innovate itself to develop a sustainable growth.
Therefore, the use of aggressive or even radical market - driven approach would be necessary. Originality and creative solution is essential in completing this project successfully.
