Question: 1) Identify a business problem that could be addressed using business intelligence and decision support systems. This may be a real business problem that you are experiencing in your work, or it could be a fictitious scenario. If it is fictitious, it should be realistic.
2) Acquire a data set that can be used to help answer your business question. If it is a real data set, ensure that you have permission to use it and protect confidentiality/privacy.
3) Use any of the tools that we've used in ISEM 565 to analyze your data set and create decision support. You may use Excel, RapidMiner, Watson Analytics, Microsoft Power BI, or similar tools.
4) Prepare a written report and a slide presentation that explains your chosen business question, outlines the properties and sources of your data, and then presents and explains your analysis and findings. Be sure to focus on how your use of data and your chosen tools represent the use of DSS or BI to address a business problem. There is no minimum or maximum page length, just be thorough and thoughtful in your report. As graduate students, you should seek out and cite relevant sources of material that support your writing. Follow APA format.
