1. Cultural sensitivity is critical in competing in markets both nationally or internationally. We have all seen either print or media advertisements that have been culturally offensive? Post one such ad. Discuss why you found the ad culturally offensive
2. Explain why you think that companies lack cultural awareness and do not realize their ads will offend people?
3. Identify an example of a hospitality company using each of the three international strategies discussed in this chapter. Describe in specific terms why each fit that strategy. Identify 3 different hospitality companies that would each represent a different international strategy (Multidomestic strategy, global strategy, and transnational strategy).
4. What will you do to ensure the effectiveness of diversity practices in your organization and how will you do it?
