E-procurement technology has been available for about three decades (around the 1980s). However, until now there are still many companies, both from the seller (supplier) and buyer (buyer) side, are still reluctant to use e-procurement even though they are aware that e-procurement can provide many benefits for its users.

Within the Indonesian government, the e-procurement system has begun to be implemented. This system is known as the Electronic Procurement Service System (LPSE) to serve the procurement of government goods / services. The LPSE system aims to increase transparency and accountability, increase market access and create healthy business competition, and improve the efficiency level of the procurement system. In addition, the monitoring and auditing system as well as real-time access to information helps the government realize clean and good government in the procurement of government goods and services.

As for the concerns of the management of a company with regard to e-procurement, including:

• What are the benefits and risks associated with e-procurement?
• Which e-procurement method should be adopted?
• What organizational and technical issues will arise when introducing e-procurement?

In connection with the above topics, we will discuss together the following topics:

1. Identification of inefficiencies in the procurement process

2. Explain how these problems can be overcome by implementing e-procurement

3. Also explain how cost savings can be made by implementing e-procurement

4. Explain the difference between the e-procurement options from the buy-side, sell-side side and What are the benefits of each option?

5. E-procurement adoption is still considered low. What must be done to increase this adoption in the future?

6. What are the reasons why these companies do not want to implement e-procurement?
