I''m in a desperate need of seeking help for my Intro to GIS final project. I''m not too keen on using GIS software such as ArcMap since this is my very first course. I have added my proposal for you to look over as stated below, this should appeal easy to you since it''s practically just transferring information from USA census to ArcMap and then cleaning up the map. This won''t take long at all

"I was considering creating a project based on Civil Engineering until two of my friends raised an issue related to deafness which captured my attention. They were engaged in a debate about which states have the highest number of deaf people, which have the highest density, and which have the highest rates of migration. It sparked the idea of creating a visual map of the United States, displaying the relationships with their deaf populations. I will be making a variety of thematic maps portraying states in proportion to their current populations, density, and migratory patterns compared with the same criteria from 15 years ago. I will be gathering data from census.gov and similar websites and will be using ArcMap as my main tool.

This project will be very beneficial to many curious deaf people (for instance, those seeking to live in areas with a higher population of other deaf residents, allowing access to deaf culture and communication), deaf studies majors, and employers. It could also provide very useful statistical information that is easy to comprehend."
