With the booming of electronic media, people beganrelying on it more than tradition media. The main reasonsare toenhancethe efficiency and productivity. Even students or researchers depend on electronic media heavily, to assist them in achieving theirresearch goals. An example, biologistwho focus on the study of life and living organisms use electronic media to play a vital role on their research path. However, there are very limited resources that can be used as specific analytical products. Many biologists need to build their own applicationsto analyze their data. As a MIS student, even though we do not know that much about biology area, we would love to make our efforts to contribute to the "study of life".

Our idea is to build a DNA sequence logo generator system to interpret the DNA data into a user-friendly graph. The main function of the DNA sequence logo generator system is similar to a translator which converts the text manuscript into a graphical chart.By creating these graphical charts it creates an effective and efficient method for biologists to process data analysis. Therefore, biologists can focus on their research and discoverdetailed information about our body.

There are three principles we need to include when developing this system: users-friendly, efficient, and effective.It would not be appropriate if the system is too complex. A complex system will reduce the wiling of biologiststo use this system, and being counterproductive they will spend more time to learn how to use this system than continuing their research. Our goal is to create a system that will truly assist the biologists to analyze the data easily; therefore, we will follow our principles to complete this project. Based on our requirements, we are going to use JAVA as our development language.

Design Constrains:

There are few project constrains:

• This system doesn't require connect to a database, therefore, users are not able to restore the data information. Once, they close the system, the data will be gone immediately.

• This system doesn't design as a web based system, therefore, only one user can assess this system at one time and at the same computer.

• This system is only available be used on laptop or PC. We don't design it as a phone/tablet application; therefore, users can not use this system on smartphones and tablets.

We know those constrains are possible reduce the efficiency of this system. Therefore, in the future, we will update those functions into this system, in order to strengthen this system.

Practical value:

We know the importance of biology in our life, the result of research from biologist provide valuable information for us to understand more about our body and living being. Meanwhile, in order to discover our life more deeply, biologist needs to do vary research every day. However, most of biologists face one challenge is they don't have a good system to analyze the research data. Therefore, biologists also have to learn how to create an application for themselves, in order to analyze their data. Our DNA sequence logo generator system will be a good tool for biologist.

We classify the system into tangible and intangible value for biologists. For the tangible value, since each biologist has the limit of fund to complete their research, therefore, biologists can waive the cost on creating the application or hire someone to develop a system. They can use these saving to invest on more valuable research. For the intangible value, it includes procedure simplification and resources saving. Based on our interviewees, a biology student has to take a week to analyze the DAN data. However, the system only requires less than ten seconds completing this analysis.

User requirements:

As we mentioned before, this system will be used by biologists or biology students to analyze the DNA data. In order to have a fully understanding of their requirements for this system, we interviewed biology students. According to our interviewees, we classified the requirements into functional and nonfunctional requirement.

Functional Requirement:

• Allow users to simply input data to the system.

• Detail requirements of input data:

o Users could upload the DNA data reports, no need to manual input the data.

• Allow users to receive the graphic output.

• Detail requirements of output graphic:

o The graphic should be a two dimensional figure.
o The vertical is information content.
o The horizon is position number.
o Display different sizes of character to represent the number of content.

Nonfunctional Requirement:

• Users are able to receive the report immediately.
• User-friendly interface, users can easy use the system.
• No need to install the system in different computers.
