Hypothesis Tests, or Statistical Hypothesis Testing, is where you compare data sets or samples so we can infer something about the conclusion. My business situation hypothesis test would look something like a product we use everyday and the company claims that that product weights 25 pounds. We might want to check this claim and determine a hypothesis on whether the weight is in deed 25 pounds. We would then want to check this claim by collecting more of the same product maybe around 5 of them and weigh them. Our numbers would look like:

Null hypothesis: H0: Average weight 25 pounds. 

Alternative hypothesis: Ha: Average weight not 25 pounds.

H0: µ = 25 versus Ha: µ ≠ 25

Then you would be able to solve this claim and identify if the hypothesis was correct.
