Q1) At Ajax Spring Water, a half litre bottle of soft drink is assumed to contain a mean of 520 ml. Filling process permits normal distribution with known process standard deviation of 4 ml.

 

Requirement1:

 

Normal distribution must be used for sample mean because:

If sample of 16 bottles illustrates a mean fill of 515 ml, does this contradict hypothesis that true mean is 520 ml?
