Humankind faced pandemics in the past. In the later part of the Medieval period before the Italian Renaissance, the Bubonic plague ravaged Europe. In 1917, the Spanish Flu caused many deaths and reached the U.S. Ebola, SARS and Swine flu were all forerunners of global pandemic COVID19 that we are facing right now.
