Human trafficking is a challenge that all levels of government must address and improve upon. While organizations like Destiny Rescue, The Code, and Polaris help combat trafficking, more traffickers are hiding and devising ways to execute their plans. Prosecution, evidence, technology advancements, and a unified front are also challenges faced by public administration. Federal, state, and local agencies must have trained employees to conduct investigations, reach out to victims, train future employees, and be on the forefront. State officials should pay for Amber Alerts, Missing Children, and Most Wanted, and provide funding for survivor shelters. Local administration should host events to inform the community about human trafficking and its prevalence, and train police officers to spot potential victims. While zero human trafficking cases is ideal, success would be achieved by having the youth and elderly informed about human trafficking, their potential victims, and how to respond if they see suspicious activity.
