You are one of the junior Human Resource officers at Awesome Landscapes.
You have been approached by your workplace supervisor to conduct a qualitative research on promoting team innovation in efforts to help employees and the organisation continuously improve its products and services.
She has already initially started with the plan, but with the load of work she is handling, she has turned over the research assignment to you.
Specifically, in your research, you will have to find out about:
a. Factors that promote and hinder innovation in the workplace
b. Strategies to promote and maintain team innovation in the workplace
You will have to gather relevant information from a variety of sources including but not limited to: the Internet, books, and magazine or scholarly articles.
Aside from this, your workplace supervisor suggested that you interview John M. Turner through email. He is the head of the Research and Innovation Department at Awesome Landscapes.
Steps to take:
1. Based on the information given, determine your research topic.
2. Based on the information given, determine your research objectives. You must identify at least two (2) research objectives. Remember that your research objectives should be consistent with your research topic.
3. Determine the information you need to address or answer your research objectives.
4. Determine the sources where you will gather the information you need. You must have:
a. at least one (1) online source (the Internet, online databases, specific websites, etc.)
b. at least one (1) non-electronic source (books, magazine articles, scholarly journals, or relevant personnel)
5. Determine the data collection methods you will use to gather your information (interview, brainstorming, document review, etc.).
6. Determine the strategies you will have to use to analyse the information you have gathered.
