Basal Metabolic Rate

The human body converts internal chemical energy into work and heatat rates of 60 to 125 W (called the basal metabolic rate). Thisenergy comes from the food we eat and is usually measured inkilocalories = 4.184 kJ. (Note that the nutritional calorie listedon the cereal box actually equals 1 kilocalorie). How manykilocalories of food energy must we ingest per day if our metabolicrate is 121.0 W? Assume our body is 100 percent efficient.
