Human Resources Management Group Assignment and Presentation

This is a group assignment consisting of 10- 15 pages and presentation with one page synopsis.

Option 1 - In this assignment students will work in groups of 5 or 6 to physically inspect a section of GBC or another agreed upon workplace playing the role of a Joint Health and Safety Committee. You will create and complete the following:

1. Hazard checklists

2. Hazard reporting forms

3. A block diagram (a conceptual diagram or a theoretical diagram)

4. A job hazard analysis

These items will form the appendix to the assignment.

You will then compile all this information into a detailed written report, assessing and discussing the hazards and their health effects, including detailed recommendations for hazard prevention and controls, applying applicable legislation and research. A group presentation is then conducted highlighting the major findings and recommendations.

Option 2 - This option allows students to conduct a research paper on a pertinent health and safety topic(s), such as workplace violence, emergency planning or ergonomics, and where students develop a workplace program specific to a particular organization presented in a case. A group presentation is then conducted highlighting the major findings and recommendations.
