Question: In an emotional conversation, some vocal characteristics that are easily misinterpreted are tone and sarcasm. Everyone reacts differently when having an emotional conversation. It is necessary to be aware of how your tone may sound to others; if not, this is where miscommunication begins. Cultural differences also have a significant impact when having an emotional conversation. For example, masculine cultures tend to be more assertive and independent in an emotional conversation. However, in a feminine conversation, they are more sympathetic and nurturing.
