Case Study: In this course, you will create a project focused on reducing the incidence of a HAC. If you prefer, choose a condition from a site other than a hospital, such as a free-standing surgical center or long-term care facility. However, most of the literature focuses on HACs because the problem was first identified in hospitals. For this conversation, identify a HAC and post a brief description to orient your fellow learners about the condition. This HAC will be the topic that you focus on for the rest of the course discussions and assignments. When you have chosen your HAC, research what has been done for the chosen topic. It can be what your organization has done to address a HAC. If you are not working in an organization that has addressed a HAC, choose one from the course readings.

Question: Discuss how you would approach a process improvement team focused on the HAC you have chosen?
