Question: Reflect on your learning in this unit, with specific reference to your reading and to the discussions in class, in relation to how you will practise social work in a multi-cultural, cosmopolitan world of crisis and change (700 words).

How will your own cultural and epistemological traditions be reflected in your practice (500 words), and how will you open yourself up to other world views? (300 words) In writing this assignment you may use the first person if you wish (e.g. "I think . . .", "My experience of . . ." ) etc. Use at least two references from the reading list in your essay. Your references may be formatted in the Harvard style of referencing.

Marking Criteria: You will be assessed on how well you are able to use your reading and class discussions to demonstrate your learning from the unit, especially in terms of how you will practise in multicultural Australia (10 marks), and in the context of a future of crisis and change.

You will also be assessed on your capacity for self-reflection and analysis in terms of your own cultural and epistemological background.
