In this homework, you will be examining a case study using the practice of ethical leadership model from Chapter 6.2 to illuminate what happens when leaders make decisions that are not aligned with their values and the impact these actions can have on stakeholders. Your paper should be 600 to 800 words (2 to 3 pages). Cite your sources using either MLA or APA Style.

Review the case study in Chapter 6.1. Using what you have learned from the resources in Section VI: Module 6, explain the role that values, choice, voice, and purpose played in the decisions the coach made. Then respond to the following questions derived from the case study:

1. Clarifying Culture: What were the values espoused by the University and the program? Did the coach's actions demonstrate these values?

2. Creating Community: Did the coach's handling of the incident promote positive relationships between key stakeholders (players, staff, community, university)?

3. Encouraging Ethical Conduct: Did the coach openly acknowledge that his decision was based in ethics and morality? Did he revisit with his team their code of conduct and their core values and acknowledge where he might not have followed it?

4. Showing Discipline in One's Role: Did the coach explicitly accept responsibility and show he understands what his role is in creating a culture that values honesty and respects women?

5. Designing Ethical Systems: Did the coach's actions set a positive precedent for other athletic departments to follow?

Reflect on your own ethical leadership philosophy and how you voice your values and use your voice. What might you have done if you were facing the same or a similar situation? How might actions aligned with your values have made for a more ethical outcome?
