Discussion Post: Human Experience
Prior to beginning work on this learning activity, review the instructions for the Comparative Human Experience final project. In addition, review the work you completed for the Project Preparation, along with the feedback from your instructor (review Accessing Your Waypoint Feedback for support). Make sure you examine the comments offered in the margins of your work, along with the summative comments.
You will continue to prepare for your final project. You will build on the research you have begun and organize your ideas to present them in the format you have selected. In this learning activity, you will explore the resources available through the Writing Center and the University of Arizona Global Campus Library to help you refine your work while you learn about the many ways you can be supported in your path to developing strong writing and presentation skills.
To complete this learning activity,
1. Select a section of your Comparative Human Experience final project that you have composed in a draft form (approximately two to three paragraphs in length or one page). It does not have to be finalized or edited.
2. After examining the resources above, select at least two resources that you will use to help you improve your final project.
3. Use the resources you have selected to edit the section of your final project you have drafted. Work on your draft using the insight gained from the resources at the Writing Center or the University of Arizona Global Campus Library.
In an initial post of at least 250 words, explain what elements of your draft you thought needed improvement prior to using the Writing Center or the University of Arizona Global Campus Library supports. As part of your post, address these issues:
Question 1. Identify which resources you chose to examine and explain why you decided to use them.
Question 2. Explain how you used the resources you chose to improve your work.
Question 3. Identify what elements of your work are now stronger after using these resources.
Question 4. Would you use these resources again in future work? Why or why not? What would you tell someone else about your experience?
