The purpose of the reflective essay is to reflect on what you actually learned by listening to the lectures from the University instructors and guest speakers, reading the required materials, and doing the assignments.

The core question to address in this reflective essay is:

What are your personal learnings/reflections with regards to one topic as discussed during the Entrepreneurship Principles and Tools course?
To answer this question, please do the following:

Explain why you found this topic interesting and reflect on the insights you gained from the lectures & literature that was prescribed/ recommended regarding this topic (see Readings Online for the literature provided to you)

Explain how you think you may apply your learnings in the future

Explain what you think might also have been interested to know on this specific topic but that was not taught by means of the lectures and prescribed/ recommended literature. Please provide additional literature or frameworks we did not teach you on the specific topic you are discussing but are of relevance of well.

Topic:

The reflective essay is relatively short (1500 words) and thus we ask you to reflect on one topic only and discuss that topic in-depth. In terms of topic choice: please select one of the twelve Modules provided during this subject. You can zoom in further as some modules discussed different topics. However, make sure you select a topic for which literature is prescribed/ recommended (e.g., do not select the topic of 'pitching') since reflecting on the insights from the prescribed or recommended literature (see Readings Online) is an essential element of your assignment.

Assignment

This is an individual assignment: thus, when reflecting our your learnings, reflect on it from your own personal experience. This does not, however, mean that you cannot reflect on your personal experiences with Assignment 3 (which was a team assignment).

Paper structure

In terms of the structure of your reflective essay, you can keep it simple (because it is short): title page, introduction, main body of text, conclusion, references. However, please make use of subheadings, to facilitate reading.

Once more: make sure you explicitly refer to the relevant literature that can be found when scrolling to Readings Online. Use APA referencing style.
