Discuss whose life seems more in tune with how you imagine yourself living the eternal return, Souza's or Tanksley's? Why?
Tamica Tanksley's life seems more in tune with how I imagine myself living the eternal return. As the codirector of Senator Vincent Hughes's community affairs outreach, Tanksley is in a position of power just as William Souza was. However, unlike Souza, she earned her position through hard work and a honest dedication to her community. Tanskley is driven by her passion of empowering people and, if given the chance to do it all over again, she "wouldn't change a thing." Not only does Tanskley's life seem more in tune with mine because of her work ethic , but also because she does not have any regrets about the choices she has made. If I were living in an eternal return of my actions, I would not want to keep reliving actions that I wish I could change.
The Eternal Return of the same is an idea Nietzsche proposed that just stated that every decision you make and everything you feel, say, and do will have to be repeated forever. If I had to imagine myself living in the eternal return, I think my life would be more in tune to Tanksley's life. Tankley shows more characteristics that I believe would fit my personality and the way I live life. She is a hard worker and has worked hard all her life to get where she is today. I mean it does sound like a lot of hard work and she must be very busy all the time, but I think I would be able to handle it. I don't really like to talk about politics so I don't know how much I would enjoy working with them, but I know for a fact that I would rather work for someone in politics than be a drug dealer and put my life in danger everyday like Souza's life.
