Question: Ronak Singh is a true success story. He came from India and graduated from Lambton College with a degree in business. He worked at Walmart for two years after graduation. Then he decided to open his grocery store. As a sole proprietor, he had to do various tasks to run the store successfully. For example, he took care of accounting, marketing, human resources, and financing, even though he was not an expert in these areas. As time passed, Ronak acquired more and more stores in different areas. Due to this tremendous growth, he incorporated his business. He also started hiring specialists in various areas, such as accounting, marketing, and human resources.

Ronak store specializes in exotic and authentic groceries from around the world. It's not an ordinary store. It caters to the minority population in Canada and their cultural values. It has specialty products from all over the world. You can't find these products at your local convenience store or Walmart. The key drivers of his success were his focus on new trends in the GTA and his excellent customer service.

The first expansion of this business has caused many problems between employees and employers and stressed the labor relationships. Many employees started thinking about joining or forming a union to fight for their rights. The expansion stressed resources and employees because most were forced to work overtime. More and more duties were added to their job description. But the pay increase did not fully compensate them for all the added duties. Most employees felt they were taken advantage of. Also, the number of accidents and injuries increased. It further stressed business resources and created additional stress for existing employees. In many instances, employees working overtime and already exhausted covered their coworkers' absences. A lot of employees started experiencing mental health issues.

Companies management asked you to work on resolving these issues. Your first task was studying and analyzing the issues experienced in the corporation. Your first action was to speak to company employees from various departments and understand their concerns. He spent the first week speaking to various employees and taking notes. You spent two weeks analyzing HR forms policies, And there, around a week was spent documenting your findings. You created the report and submitted it to management. Shortly afterward, they asked you for a meeting. You spent a couple of hours talking to managers from different departments. At the end of the meeting, you will resolve these issues to implement and support effective employee and labor relations strategies. You will collaborate with others in implementing and monitoring organizational health and safety policies and procedures. Your critical task will be assessing the "job hazards." And designing a job hazard form for each job in the Company.

You designed the table for the job hazard assessment. You will choose two jobs. Analyze the hazards experienced in these jobs and fill out the above table. Make sure you list all the tasks and all the hazards experienced with each task. It's also important to list how you control the hazard for each task. Filling out these forms is critical since it will ease the tension between employees and management. As a result, your action will improve labor relationships. In the final step, you will suggest strategies to improve job safety or reduce hazards.
