How would you write a balanced chemical equation using structural formulas to show how acetic acid reacts weakly with water to transfer a proton and produce a hydronium and an acidic ion?

What is the balanced reaction sentence using structural formulas to show how salicylic acid reacts with a 6 M NaOH base to form sodium salicylate?

How about when you add 6 M HCL to ths same mixture? What would occur? How would the anion of salicylic acid react with the acid?

Is there a good website to learn some of this?

Also, what is the name of this structure? I thought it was 3,5-diethyl, 2,5,6-trimethyloctane.
