Assignment
For this assignment, you will determine your daily caloric needs, your fitness goals, and how the two relate to each other. You don't need to post the answers to Steps 1-3, but please include Step 4 in your answer. You will answer the questions relating to your fitness goals and how they will affect your daily caloric need.
Estimating Your Daily Caloric Needs
Step I: What is your height? I am male measuring 5 feet and 10 inches tall.
Step II: How many body mass units do you have? Calculate them this way: Women - allow 100 body mass units for the first 5 feet of height +5 body mass units for each additional inch. Men - allow 106 body mass units for the first 5 feet of height and 6 body mass units for each additional inch. My total body mass units = ___________
Step III: What is your activity factor? Sedentary = 13 ( You do not work out), Active = 15 (You work out 1-2 times a week), Very active = 17 (You work out 5 times a week or more)
Step IV: What is your estimated daily caloric need? Multiply your body mass units by your activity factor.
Now that you have figured out your estimated daily caloric need, it is time to figure out your fitness goals. Answer the following questions:

Question B. As your fitness level increases, how will your caloric needs change?
Question C. How would you use the FITT principle to create a fitness program?
Question D. Why is it important to have a fitness routine?
