How would you use a pulley system with one rope to pull at a single item at two points simultaneously?The free ropes of two block and tackle pulley systems could be joined to pull an object in two places.  Or you could just hang a rope over two pulleys on a ceiling, tie both ends to the object to be lifted, and pull the rope in between the pulleys.
