Assignment Details
John Doe took a position as the administrator of a memory care facility in Ohio. The facility has a large number of residents with dementia. The residents' council asked for better services that support aging in place. Many of the new residents were having problems because they just moved into the facility. There have been incidents where residents try to run away because they want to go back home.
Some of them started developing conditions that were not present initially when they came in. Most of them became withdrawn and refused to eat their meals. The other day, three slips and fall cases resulted in residents being hurt. This has resulted in staff members getting nervous and uneasy about the situation. John held a meeting and asked for suggestions to address the situation as a team. It was evident that changes must be made to help the residents feel at home.
