Case Study: In the lecture this week, we learned all about parent education programs in early childhood education programs. Parent education is specific attempts to offer knowledge and support to parents in hopes of increasing parenting effectiveness. Programs should work to offer a variety of parent education through the early childhood education program. To truly understand what types of education will be most beneficial, programs need to take an individualized approach.

For your initial post, research one of the parent education programs we discussed in this week's lecture, such as PET, STEP, Positive Discipline, or Active Parenting. You can also research a different program on your own.

Question: After reviewing the program, evaluate the program in your initial post using these criteria:

• Consider what this program would look like in "real life:" how would you perform this plan as an educator?
• Apply this program to your experience with children and families: how might this program have helped you in your past experiences?
• Recommend some changes or additions to this program: how would could it be improved?
