Problem

Samuel Wilson is a former smoker with a 30-pack-year smoking history. He was recently diagnosed with stage IIA non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with metastasis to the lymph nodes. Subsequent tissue biopsy indicated that the tumour was an adenocarcinoma with high PD-L1 expression in the tumour cells.

Samuel's oncologist recommended treatment with a PD-1 inhibitor as part of his therapy for his NSCLC. He started receiving pembrolizumab every three weeks. After the initiation of treatment, his response and overall well-being were closely monitored.
