After you research and identify an organization or agency and complete your community engagement, reflect on your experience by responding to the following 10 prompts below in one to two paragraphs each. You should begin by researching the sustainability issue involved and organization or project that you participate in.

Which organization and/or project did you volunteer with/research/participate in (either remotely or in-person)? Why did you choose this particular organization?
Describe the sustainability issue you are focusing on. Consider problems caused by the sustainability issue. Describe impacts of this sustainability issue on your community (please specify which community you are focusing on) within each of the three dimensions of sustainability. Use specific data and information to provide context.
What are your learning intentions? In other words, as you think about a community sustainability issue dear to your heart, what do you want to learn and what role do you want to play in addressing or responding to this sustainability issue?
Provide an overview of the history of this organization and/or project. What is the mission of the organization? How long has it existed? What role does it play in creating a more sustainable community. Consider and investigate who else is addressing this sustainability issue in your community.
Explain how this project and/or organization impacts your community within each of the three dimensions of sustainability. In which regards would you consider this project/organization successful and where do you think it falls short?
Reflect on and explain the root causes underlying this sustainability problem. How could one go about addressing these root causes in order to move toward increasing sustainability?
Reflect on and describe the potential impacts of this project/organization/webinar and projects like it on different scales - from individual to community to state to nation to global - where do they make most impact and why? least impact and why? You will likely have to do research on additional programs to complete this question.
Brainstorm broadly to identify the relevant community organizations and other systems connected to your project - all scales, all beings. This should include both human and non-human (ecological) communities. Consider stakeholder groups invested in or impacted by this sustainability issue.
Refer to the ACPA's Presidential Taskforce on Sustainability's document on Change Agent Abilities Required to Help Create a Sustainable Future. Which Change Agent Abilities do you think will best support this type of engagement as well as future work you want to do? Reflect on the skills you most want to develop and how you see yourself being a change agent for sustainability in your community and/or with your current or future employer? How will you work to cultivate your chosen skills?
Based on the engagement experience and your research and reflection on sustainability issue you chose to focus on for this assignment, consider how you might continue your engagement with your community and/or this sustainability issue in the future.
