Scenario: Your client Jasmine is experiencing some issues at school and her father is concerned about her behavior and ability to succeed in school. Her father is worried that her reckless and impulsive behavior will lead to bigger problems in the future. As a social worker, you understand Jasmine's behavior could be directly linked to the trauma she experienced as a child. Jasmine was physically and sexually abused by her biological family members for several years in early childhood before she went into the foster care system. At five years old, Jasmine was adopted by lovely family. Unfortunately, the adoptive mother died approximately two years later from an illness.

Question: How would you instruct the father to help guide his daughter to manage impulsive behaviors and poor academic performance?
