Relevant Information
Are-You-Fit-Gym (AYFG) provides a clean, friendly, and non-intimidating atmosphere where exercise can be enjoyed 24 hours a day every day. Their services include free weights, cardiovascular equipment, juice bar, pro shop, sauna and locker facilities. While membership fee is their primary source of revenue, other sources of revenue include one day passes and sales of items (in pro shop and juice bar).
Ms. Swarzginger, the wife of the CEO, Mr. Swarzginger, has recently started organizing corporate events. For organizing corporate events (and renting some equipment of AYFG), corporate customers are charged a fixed fee - see details in Table 1. Thus, rental fee has recently become an additional source of revenue.
By better understanding their customers and their buying patterns, AYFG wants to improve its revenue generating performance. The CEO believes that to achieve this goal, improved decisions that relate merchandize and customers to revenue (and quantity sold) over time are required. He is very enthusiastic about the idea of a data warehouse, which -- according to you -- would support a much better analysis revenue. You conducted interviews and found goals and business questions that are important for AYFG.
