As mentioned in the 2019 American Association of Colleges of Nursing report, 51% of the registered nurses in the US are 50 years of age or older. This information comes from the National Council of State Boards of Nursing and The Forum of State Nursing Workforce Centers. These are staggering figures that will test the mettle of nurse managers and supervisors of the future.
