You notice that the youth is always scanning the room and reacts any time someone new enters the room. The youth also refused to out during recess time unless accompanied by a adult the he knows (classroom teacher or CYC. You believe he should receive psych assessment as you feel that there may be underlining other diagnostic issues- ie: ADHD, LD and possibly anxiety. The father is resistant as he believes that his son just needs to try harder and stop playing video games.
