A major role of HR management is to make sure that managers and employees understand the many employment laws that provide for a fair wok environment for all employees, HR is responsible for ensuring company employees are trained in the numerous employment discrimination laws which includes harassment, diversity and a host of others. As we have seen in the news,discrimination suits of all sorts are on the rise. As an HR manager you will more than likely be called upon to ensure that that your organization has the proper training to protect their employees from discrimination, I would like you to discuss the following 3 questions.

1. What kinds of challenges do you think HR and companies face that ensure their training is effective?

2. As an HR person, how would you design your training program? What would you include? How would you conduct your training? What do you consider to be the most important item or items to include in this type of training?

3. Give an example of a violation of employment laws that you may have witnessed or heard about in your workplace. If you were the HR manager, how would you have handled the situation? If you haven't heard of one in the workplace, you can use one that you may heard about.
