Q. Samuel is a 33 year old Russian immigrant to United States who lives in a small town in Ohio. He is meeting with a female counsellor to discuss employment opportunities. At beginning of interview, while talking about work, Sam said that a person who speaks poor English has no chance of advancement in his current job. Later, while discussing his childhood, he said that he never had any of advantages of his older brothers, who were bigger also stronger than he. As session was ending, he said that he was sure that woman clinician did not like him because he was a man. How would you describe underlying me of this interview? How would you convey it to Samuel?
