Case: A bank manager received some complaints that the teller in the service area was showing too much attention to women. Recently, 3 female customers had asked to wait for the other female teller to become available so she could provide what they needed, rather than the male teller.

The bank manager has come to you for advice.

Question 1: Since this was a concern raised by customers and none of the bank's employees has a problem with the male teller, is this an HR problem? Why or why not?

Question 2: If this is an HR problem, what would you recommend as next steps? If this is not an HR problem, who should be handling this concern? Or should the Company not bother to address this since this is not an employee complaint?

Question 3: Right after the manager told you about this occurrence, the male teller comes to you and states that his female manager is very harsh and is not friendly to him and he feels that she hates him. How would you address that complaint?
