Case Study: Qualitative research is utilized when researchers are interested in concepts like social issues that require an understanding of all contributing controversies (Richards & Morse, 2013). This analysis often requires qualitative research since it requires a personal account of the influences of contributing factors. Researchers must make decisions as they translate audio recordings into written text, making transcription interpretative and possibly biased (McMullin, 2021). Transcription can be influenced by the transcriber's personal biases, making the act of transcription have potential ethical considerations. This made me think about how qualitative research may benefit from multiple people analyzing and interpreting results. This would mitigate the influence of bias from the researcher or transcriber.
