The nurse in charge informs you before you begin your shift that there will be a staffing shortage. Your workload has now been expanded to include the following clients. How will you take care of these clients in order? Give each a justification (reason). Client A: is a right-sided hemiplegic stroke victim who also has aphasia. She likes to rise quite early. Despite being a 2pa, she can provide some care with only a little help. Client B: has a mild form of dementia. He requires ongoing monitoring since he is a fall risk and has trouble staying sitting. He is fully ambulatory but needs guidance and help with care. Client C: is a mechanical lift that has severe contractures. He needs to be fed as well as given complete attention. He spends the entire day in a reclining wheelchair and needs to go to the bathroom frequently owing to bowel and bladder incontinence. Client D has MS, the client says. She has to be lifted with a motorized hoist. She takes great care. As she gets into her motorized wheelchair, she leaves the building and doesn't come back until far into the night.
