Question: You're a recent graduate and new RN, still orienting as a full-time staff nurse on an inpatient unit. Eager to fit in and be liked, you happily accept an invitation to join your colleagues after work at a local restaurant. It's late evening and the restaurant is almost empty. You're all talking shop and blowing off steam. Suddenly, your coworkers begin to discuss the medical details and challenging behaviors of a patient on the unit. You cringe, but you're new. Considering all you have learned about the code of ethics for nurse professionals, how will you handle this situation?
