Devise marketing strategies

Scenario

You work in the marketing section of an organisation selling photocopiers and printers. A company specialising in paper products has approached your organisation with a proposal that you add copy paper to your product portfolio. This could increase your market penetration and maybe even open up new markets.

The marketing team has been asked to evaluate the marketing options and consider risks and returns. If the potential returns override the risks you will be expected to develop a marketing strategy.

In light of this scenario answer each of the following questions

-What information will you need in order to evaluate the potential marketing opportunities?

-How will you evaluate the risks and returns; and why is this necessary?

-From what sources will the information come, in what form and how will it be used?
