Question: You will be performing an observational study but try to find two groups to compare. You will be designing scientific question. plan to measure something and compare the measurements between two groups. be creative here and if comfortable feel free to try a controlled experiment if you'd like. Here are some example ideas:

The number of bugs in a certain place like front compared to back yard

The size of leaves of the same plant in two locations within a park

The number of flowers on a plant or tree that is the same kind of plant in two different locations

Different types of birds in two different locations

  4. What will your independent variable be (this is the thing you are changing between your groups like the different locations)?

  7. Record your results in the table below, you may or may not need all of these rows, but here is a general table idea:
