Question: Lucinda is the owner of a successful real estate company in Delaware. She has a team of 6 people in her office. Over the last year, many stressful events have happened to Lucinda and her family. Lucinda has needed to stay home to care for her sick husband, to help care for her elderly parents, and attend to her children while her husband recovered from his illness. As a result, her team members have taken on additional responsibilities and duties. Finally, after 5 months, Lucinda's husband was healthy and she was able to secure reliable in-home care for her parents. On the first day back in the office, Lucinda holds a meeting with her employees.
Using what you have learned about Emotional Intelligence (and assuming that Lucinda has a high level of Emotional Intelligence),
Describe what Lucinda might say to her team members in the meeting.
Be sure to apply at least 3 of the 4 elements of Emotional Intelligence (self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and social skill).
Be creative-you can describe how Lucinda demonstrated these four elements in any way you want. For example, she could display them in the meeting (e.g., in her interactions/discussions with co-workers), she could refer to something she did while she was out of the office (e.g., checking in with her staff weekly, offering her staff a flexible schedule, etc), or something she will do going forward (e.g., be sensitive to staff who are going through a difficult time).
Be as specific and explain how what she did demonstrated each of the elements (at least 3) of Emotional Intelligence (EQ).
Please use sources to support your responses and cite them properly according to APA.
Explain how Lucinda's high EQ affected her employees during what must have been a stressful time for them as well.
