Problem
Researching and writing based on sources is much more complicated than just writing what we know or believe, we will continue peer review with a focus on improving our source use and citation skills.
A. Tell classmates how your writing is going. You might reflect on these questions: How well are you doing with using source information in your paragraphs? Where do you have challenges citing those sources? Are your paragraphs following a logical PIE or PEEL structure, and does each paragraph fall into a logical organization to support your overall purpose and thesis?
B. Share at least two paragraphs from the body of your essay in which you use and cite sources. You can attach a full draft or just copy in two paragraphs.
a. One paragraph should be from the section of your essay where you describe the problem, its history, and its causes and effects because this requires factual research support.
b. The other paragraph you share can be from the same or another part of the paper, but it would be best to share a paragraph from your solutions section. Students tend to type this without source support, but for your writing to be credible, practical, and feasible, your readers need to see evidence supporting your recommendation.
