"The War Crimes Case Against Vladimir Putin" Deep State
1) What are some of the mixed feelings listed for categorizing Vladimir Putin as a war criminal and/or whether Russia is engaging in war crimes in Ukraine? [hint- several were discussed, so feel free to talk about 2 or 3 of these].
2) Based on what you've listened to and read in the previous book on the international criminal court, do you think the ICC is being political in how it is discussing the War in Ukraine? Why or why not? Please be as detailed as possible here and argue for or against the ICC's approach.
3) What are some of the positives and negatives of the use of technology (cell phones/twitter/others) in documenting war crimes?
4) What are some alternatives for how we handle the Russia-Ukraine war once the war is over? Should Putin, specifically be held for war crimes, or should the whole country be held accountable? Why or why not?
