Assignment Problem: This exercise is a visioning exercise on how we can transform our human systems to work better with the climate system, equitably and sustainably. Your written vision can take the form of a memo, a story, or a letter from the future.
The exercise could be a counterfactual vision - like the Dread Scott November 2019 replay of the 1811 Uprising in Louisiana, with a different outcome of freedom.

The exercise could be a future vision and steps to get there - like "A Vision of the Future" with Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Prepare a short written vision statement, to document the details and sources of information you used. To encourage a good flow in the expression of your visions, you do not have to have in-text citations. Please make one list of resources/references/ inspirations at the end of your vision statement. 4 pages minimum. (Document must be compiled as a coherent whole, pretty much like one essay.)
Collectively, incorporate the following elements in your collaborative vision of transforming our human systems to be in tune with the global climate system:
- Name of your vision (Title).
- What component(s) of the climate-human system does your vision focus on?
- What is the main climate action strategy (or suite of strategies) in your vision?
- What is the science of the climate issue and the action strategy? Include pertinent specifics on energy, ecological systems, GHG emissions, carbon sequestration.
- What leverage points in the system will you utilize?
- How is social justice advanced? How are essential needs met for everyone?
- Include ideas from at least two readings in the book All We Can Save.
- How does the climate action strategy address both mitigation and resilience?
- How are ecological systems respected/protected/restored/honored as a teacher?
- What are a few key steps in moving toward this vision of the future?
