1. Some of the examples of big questions which biologists may ask and study include:
a. Biologists may wonder if other parts of the human body get their oxygen directly from the air rather than from the blood.
b. Second, biologists may be interested in another big question, such as how a single tiny cell grows into a dog tree.
c. Finally, biologists can investigate how human minds work and how various types of life interact.
2. Biologically, life is defined as the system that can carry out functions such as metabolism, eating, moving, excreting, breathing, reproducing, growing, and reacting to external stimuli. Living things are organized highly with specialized and coordinated parts, basic life units.
Some of the characteristics which are shared by all living things include:
Reproduction ability is one of the typical traits among all living things. They are capable of raising their young ones. Secondly is the aspect of growth and development in which all living things increase their mass and body size. Third, they can respond to environmental stimuli and changes, such as hiding in the shade during high sun or rain and sensing danger for safety. Other traits commonly shared among living organisms include the ability to use energy, homeostasis, excretion, and the ability to adapt.
