Explain how individual differences might be synergistic to organizational behavior.

In organizations, as we know every individual is different from another, the challenge of an effective organization is in successfully matching the task, the manager and the subordinate. Under ideal situation, a manager would first analyze the task, then determine the required skills and assemble a team that complement each other skills; thereby creating an enriching and conflict free team.

When organizations execute certain plans and strategies, they find cultural diversity vital. With the importance of MNCs finding the value in gaining relevant knowledge of cultural diversity can depend on the culture of the organization.

The international presence of any organization and globalization processes can have effects on the management and performance of the organization's cultural diversity (Kong, 2010). Leadership has to use the existing resources for a given task, and must have the ability to understand the differences in individual behaviors and use them appropriately to increase the synergy.

Describe how various components of diversity contribute to the synergy.

Most important of all is respect and appreciation for other cultures and world views which means much more than merely tolerating differences. An organization culture based on diversity encourages identification with the company and its goals. A mission statement and a common understanding of leadership are useful guidelines, but they must not rob employees of their cultural roots.

All members of the organizational community must feel accepted and be encouraged to contribute their talents and skills. By doing so, it allows each individual to develop to the fullest in the workplace and unleashes the motivation and creativity required for successful competition and productivity (Kaltenbacher&Breninger, 2012). People differ in myriad ways from their language, values, age, educational background, gender and ways of thinking.

Such differences range from visible characteristics to traits that are not readily apparent, from characteristics that are relevant to the work setting to those that play a role in interpersonal relationships within and with other organizations.
