The Silk Road went through many different changes, but some things on the Silk Road did stay the same. One of the changes was the change of trading over land to sea during the Song Dynasty. This happened because new technology made ocean travel faster and easier to do. Another change happened in the Ming Dynasty.

In the Ming Dynasty the government restricted some of the trading to limit the foreign influence. Two things that stayed the same during these dynasties were, first, the Silk Road had many different goods like silk, spices, and precious metals being sold all throughout the route. Second, it spread many different ideas and cultures throughout the route, like Buddhism. These exchanges of goods and ideas showed how the traders of the Silk Road influenced different cultures and ideas. How many words are in this paragraph?
