Assignment:

Just to clarify this is a practice question for an upcoming midterm and it is just to teach us how to write essays in philosophy. I am not going to submit the answer as my own work, as that is plagiarizing. I specify the word count (700 to 800) so I can take note of how many points I have to make and how to make sure it is within the required length so I get a grade as high as possible. I also need to write a thesis statement, an introduction and a conclusion to sum up everything I've brought up.

Compare the way a deontologist would be concerned with universalizability with the way an act-utilitarian would be concerned with universalizability. What lessons can be drawn from this comparison for how each side conceives of morality? Be sure to substantiate your claims with examples.
